Christians are not against Stem cell research.
There are those that proffer the Idea that Christians would rather see people die. It is exactly the opposite.
We believe that all that a person can and will be physically is in the DNA upon conception. To paraphrase the statement made by God to Jeremiah the prophet. "Before you were shapened in the womb, I knew you and ordained you a prophet to the nations."
We believe that even the science of DNA has proven this. If we could read DNA perfectly, I could tell a pregnant woman, right after conception, exactly what her child will look like as though I was looking at her photo. I could tell her a lot more from DNA than a photo.
I could tell her how her little girl or boy will walk and talk, the real color of her hair, wither or not she would do well to avoid certain things and activities from which she might be predisposed to have a bad reaction. I could tell her Dozens or even hundreds of things about her child.
Now, I don’t know too many people looking at a photo of a child who will say kill it. How much more should a person feel that way that understand the things I just mentioned.
Adult stem cells or cord blood stem cells are the ones that are actually, producing results. People lives have been saved by those Stem cells. Plus, there are new ways of getting cells to act the same as embryonic stem cells that have been developed.
We feel that there is simply no reason to go into Frankenstein mode and kill those that have already been conceived.
So you see, even your question is faulty and based upon the politics that we commonly hear in the news.
I suggest that you go to Google and type in those different kinds of stem cells, mentioned above and become informed as to wither what I am saying is true. You will find that I am correct about the stem cells.
